Surgeon performing eye microsurgery under an operating microscope

Precision Microsurgery

Eye Surgery

Eye surgery demands millimetre-perfect technique, complete sterility and an environment that keeps patients calm. Our theatre is built around all three.

Every procedure is performed under a high-magnification operating microscope, with single-use sterile consumables, documented instrument sterilisation and full pre-operative consent.

Cataract and lens surgery

  • Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS)

A safe, proven sutureless technique that removes the cloudy lens through a small self-sealing opening.

  • Phacoemulsification

Ultrasound micro-incision removal of the cataract, allowing the smallest wound and a rapid recovery.

  • Intraocular Lens Implantation

A clear artificial lens placed where the natural lens sat, with the power chosen from your measurements.

  • Complex and Advanced Cataract Surgery

Surgery for dense, long-standing or complicated cataracts, planned carefully around the rest of the eye.

Glaucoma surgery

  • Trabeculectomy

Creates a controlled new drainage channel to lower eye pressure and protect remaining vision.

  • Glaucoma Drainage Device Implantation

A small tube and plate that carry fluid away for complex or previously operated eyes.

  • Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)

Smaller-incision pressure-lowering surgery with a gentler recovery, often combined with cataract surgery.

  • Diode Laser Cyclophotocoagulation (Subcyclo)

Laser applied to the fluid-producing part of the eye, for eyes where pressure stays high after other treatment.

  • Thermal Cyclophotocoagulation

Carefully controlled treatment of the ciliary body to reduce fluid production and lower pressure.

Retina treatment

  • Intravitreal Injections

Anti-VEGF and steroid therapy delivered into the eye in sterile theatre conditions, with topical anaesthesia and minimal discomfort.

Ocular surface, cornea and lids

  • Pterygium Removal with Conjunctival Graft

Removal of the fleshy growth with a graft to reduce the risk of it returning.

  • Chalazion and Lid Lesion Removal

Minor surgery for persistent lid lumps and lesions that do not settle with conservative care.

  • Corneal and Conjunctival Repair

Surgical repair of surface injuries and tears of the clear front of the eye and its covering membrane.

  • Foreign Body Removal

Safe removal of embedded material from the eye's surface under magnification.

  • Corneal Tattoo (Keratopigmentation)

Cosmetic pigmentation to improve the appearance of a scarred or disfigured cornea.

Anterior segment microsurgery

  • Iris, Lens and Anterior Chamber Procedures

Delicate microsurgery on the front structures of the eye, performed under the operating microscope.

Safety & sterility

  • Modern theatre

Purpose-built ophthalmic theatre with controlled airflow and dedicated instruments.

  • Verified sterilisation

Autoclave cycles logged and validated before every list.

  • Surgical safety checklist

Identity, side, consent and lens power confirmed with the whole team.

  • Infection prevention

Strict aseptic technique, single-use consumables and antisepsis protocols.

  • Recovery & follow-up

Monitored recovery, written instructions and 24-hour contact access.

Not every procedure suits every eye. At your pre-operative assessment the surgeon examines your eye, reviews your scans and confirms which procedure is right for you before you consent.
